Book Recommendation – World War Z

Was talking with a friend and the topic of good books came up. Always makes me think how hard it is to find something that’s consistently good from start to finish. So with that in mind – think I’ll pick back over the stack of books that seemed to fit the bill as a good entertaining read.

So first on the list is World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War  by Max Brooks… surprisingly a book about a post apocalyptic Zombie War – well – err not that surprising. It’s supposed to take place 10 years after the Zombies have been eradicated.

Great read – I think it’s almost a little too real. The governments, across the globe, like China suppressing information of the plague’s spread and society just sort of folding up. Hey it’s hard to be nice when you’re neighbors are trying to eat you.

It’s a collection of short stories and interviews strung together – reminiscent of war reels from WWII or some of the civil wars across the world today. A real page turner – and a quick read.

Worth a look if you like the genre.
